BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus sits in Zuarinagar in South Goa, which is good news for travel: the state's main transport hubs are on the southern side. The question is rarely whether you can get there — it's how to do it without paying full cab fare on your own at 5 a.m.

Which airport should you fly into?
Goa has two airports. Dabolim Airport (airport code GOI), near Vasco da Gama in South Goa, is the closer of the two to campus and is usually the default for BITS Goa students. Manohar International Airport at Mopa (code GOX) opened in North Goa and is considerably farther from Zuarinagar, so factor in a longer, costlier transfer if your flight lands there.
When you book, check which airport your fare actually uses — a slightly cheaper ticket into Mopa can cost you the difference back in ground transport.
Travelling by train
If you're coming by rail, the major junctions on the South Goa side are Vasco da Gama and Madgaon (Margao). Madgaon is one of the busiest stations in the region and a common railhead for long-distance trains, so it's often the practical choice for students heading to and from home.
From either station you'll still need a cab or auto to reach campus — which is exactly where a shared ride pays off.
The cheap way: share the ride
Solo cabs to and from the airport or station add up, especially during the vacation rush when demand spikes. The obvious fix is to travel with other students heading the same way at the same time and split the fare — but coordinating that over WhatsApp is a mess of half-formed plans.
