About MyBITS at Goa Campus

The workspace

MyBITS Goa is the student-built, unified campus operating system for students of BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus. It runs at goa.mybitsapp.com as a sealed workspace for the Goa cohort — Pilani, Hyderabad, and Dubai each get their own separate workspace, and data never crosses the boundary. Sign-in is Google OAuth tied to the @goa.bits-pilani.ac.in institutional email, so every BITSian in the workspace is a verified peer, not a random internet stranger.

Academics

The academic layer covers timetables, courses, exams, faculty, and the academic calendar drawn from the official BITS Pilani Goa campus sources. Timetable data is parsed directly from the campus timetable PDF and refreshed each semester. Course pages carry prerequisites, prescribed textbooks, and section-level details. The exam schedule surface covers both midsem and comprehensive dates, sortable by course, department, or date. Faculty pages list teaching load, sections, and (where available) Google Scholar links.

Life on campus

Life on campus lives in the same app. Mess menus for every mess block are surfaced daily. The hostel directory covers CH-1 through CH-4 for men and every Meera block for women, with occupancy stats, floor-by-floor room maps, and rosters searchable by name, ID, or room. The marketplace is a verified zero-commission peer surface for cycles, mattresses, lab coats, textbooks, and campus gear. The forum is per-campus, categorized (Academics, Placements, Hostel, Clubs, Lost & Found, General), and supports pseudonymous-but-accountable posting. The Trip Planner splits cab and auto fares equally to Dabolim, Manohar Airport, Madgaon, Vasco, and Karmali stations.

How do I sign in to MyBITS Goa?
Visit goa.mybitsapp.com and sign in with your @goa.bits-pilani.ac.in Google account. First-time accounts land in a soft-launch queue and are approved in daily batches. Once approved, you have access to timetables, mess menus, the marketplace, forums, and every other campus tool.
Does MyBITS Goa cover every hostel on the K K Birla Goa Campus?
Yes. The hostel directory covers CH-1, CH-2, CH-3, and CH-4 for men, and every Meera block for women. Each hostel has an occupancy dashboard, a floor-by-floor room map, and a residents roster searchable by student name, campus ID, or room number.
Which airports and railway stations does the Trip Planner support at Goa?
The Trip Planner on MyBITS Goa currently supports Dabolim International Airport (GOI), Manohar International Airport (GOX), Madgaon Junction, Vasco da Gama Junction, and Karmali Station. Pool participants are all verified BITS Goa students; fares split equally at drop-off.
Is MyBITS Goa an official BITS Pilani service?
No. MyBITS Goa is a student-led initiative built by BITSians for BITSians. It is not operated by or endorsed by the Institute. Sign-in is gated to verified BITS Goa email addresses, but the platform itself is independent of the campus administration.
