Strategic campus integrations
Partner with MyBITS
Are you part of a Student Council, Sports Gymkhana, or local tech association looking to launch integrated portal capabilities? Get in touch with our core engineering team.
Frequently Asked Questions
No — MyBITS is a student-led initiative built and maintained by campus engineering teams. We work alongside student bodies to ensure localized relevance and data integrity without bureaucratic friction.
Frequently Asked Questions
What partnering with MyBITS looks like — timelines, costs, feature requests, and where to send security disclosures.
How can a BITS student council or gymkhana partner with MyBITS?
Reach out through the contact form on this page. Partnerships that unlock official data flows — like elections, gymkhana registrations, or event ticketing — need a written scoping conversation with the core engineering team. We aim to reply within 3-4 working days.
Do you charge for integrations?
No. Integrations with student-run bodies at BITS Pilani are free. The MyBITS core team volunteers time and covers infrastructure costs. Commercial-sized integrations (e.g., placement portal APIs) are considered case by case.
How long does a typical MyBITS integration take?
A simple integration — e.g., embedding a club's event list — takes 1-2 weeks after scoping. Larger data-flow integrations (elections, gymkhana registration) take 4-8 weeks depending on complexity and audit needs.
Can I request a new MyBITS feature?
Yes. Feature requests from BITS students go into a public roadmap and are prioritized by how many students the feature helps versus how much engineering it needs. Small, high-leverage requests (search filters, mobile UX polish) usually ship the fastest.
How do I report a bug or a security issue?
Bugs go through the contact form. Security issues — anything that could leak data across campuses or bypass sign-in — go directly to [email protected] and are acknowledged within 24 hours. We follow a responsible-disclosure timeline.
